The Cryptoassets Governance Task Force (CGTF) is a group of security experts and cryptoasset exchangers established for the purpose of developing security standards for risk management to protect users and consumers, prior to consideration by formal financial regulators or self-regulatory organizations.
Objective
The purpose of this study group is to provide technical information that will contribute to the development of effective security standards by organizing prior efforts, relevant regulations, international standards, best practices, etc. that will contribute to the development of security standards for risk management of users and consumers protection by security experts and cryptoasset exchangers prior to the study by formal financial regulators or self-regulatory organizations.
Overview
The Board of Trustees is the final decision-making body, and it is composed of working groups that discuss individual themes.

Overview / Abst
While the recognition of cryptoassets has been rapidly expanding, the protection of users has become an urgent issue due to large-scale security incidents. This project aims to raise the level of security in the cryptoassets exchange business and contribute to the protection of customers by providing technical information that contributes to standardization, etc., through the aggregation of knowledge for information security from various perspectives including security experts as well as those involved in the cryptoassets exchange business.
Structure
The decision-making of this task force will be based on the consensus of the Board of Trustees (BoT). Working Groups will be established for individual themes. In the Working Group, TF members could propose candidates for a charter and WG chairs, and the BoT will approve them. All final outputs will be published as Task Force documents.

Scope
Provision of information that contributes to safety measures as a neutral organization regarding cryptoassets.

Matters related to the enforcement of the system and self-regulation.
Goals, Phase, and Milestones
- Research on the secure use of cryptoassets and publication of the results.
- Confirmation of problems related to brand new technologies and continuous discussion with related parties for secure use of cryptoassets.
- Sharing causes of the incidents and measures to prevent recurrences.
